The 2010 annual River Festival will be 9 days long. It’s the highlight of the year. The River Festival is a tribal musical gathering that combines world music, live chanting, singing circles, rock music and ends with a Goa-style trance party with DJ Tyohar. The Festival is held on the river banks of a magical pristine forest in the valley. During the festival the PachaMama village closes down to move undisturbed into this jewel of nature, melting into it and celebrating with it.
The days are kept free of scheduled events, giving time to spontaneous jamming sessions, taking a dip in the river, meeting new friends, swinging in the hammock and simply chilling out.
The nights are dedicated to coming together for the different musical events.
It’s about retreating from the modern world, enjoying the pristine forest, celebrate, dance, sing, jam and share intimate precious time together.
On the morning of Sunday the 24th we all go down to set up our camps and settle in.
During the entire festival there will be a daily Kids Camp,
09:00 – 12:00.
Among other things we will build a stone oven and bake bread and goodies. We will also make clay figures and burn them in the oven.

There will be YOGA and TAI CHI CLASSES before and after brunch.
Every evening at 6:30 there will a SILENT SITTING with touches of soft meditative music.
To keep the festival intimate we require participation in the entire festival. Sorry, no late arrivals.

The price includes a camping spot, all festival events and two delicious vegetarian meals a day.
Space is limited so booking in advance is recommended.
In this festival we’re all lunatics, caught under the hypnotic spell of the Moon. Our Moon, the Earth’s only satellite, will accompany the festival in favorable Astrological positions throughout the event, culminating with a Full Moon in Leo, peaking exactly at the beginning of the 24-hour Trance party.

By Tuesday the Moon shifts into friendly and communicative Gemini, making it an excellent time to get to know your fellow party animals and of course... to flirt.

Traveling from sunset to sunset on the golden era of rock ‘n roll that came into flowering in the 60’s and 70’s. This unique event evolved in PachaMama over the last 3 years quickly winning the hearts of music lovers. Musical masterpieces that were never heard in a setting like this before.

The Moon enters Leo on Friday and peaks to its full ripeness exactly at midnight, just when the Sunset to Sunset Trance party starts.
It’s hard to think of a better setting to initiate the main event of the Festival even if we could have made it to order. Full Moon in Leo is a time to express ourselves creatively with full power, vitality and fun. It’s party time.
