What makes Pacha Mama a powerfulexperience for many is that it does not fulfill the
ideas and expectations that they have. Yet, when
people are plugging in they find tremendous
nourishment here. The thing is that the plugging in
is possible only when expectations and ideas about
how it is supposed to be are being put aside and
given less attention. Many people come here and
want a particular taste. But It is a different flavor
here, incomparable to any other taste.
When people come here their psychological
senses have to be retrained, because it’s not a
flavor that fits with any previous experience from
their past. From the smallest details here to the
most essential experiences here – the psychology,
the way people are relating, the way a sharing is
happening - It does not use the same tools that
exist elsewhere in the world. That creates a sense
of disorientation. Every single person who comes
here receives a culture shock. It never answers
expectations. Even if you go outside to the world
and you tell a person about Pacha Mama, when
that person will come here, no matter how much
you shared with him, he will not be spared from that
culture shock. It is a Buddha-field and that culture
shock has a great advantage, because it shakes
the protections and cleans expectations that people
are bringing. It confuses what they know, and this
confusion is like a fire that burns all understandings
and creates space for the new to arrive. Then
the person is available to self-explore
