A unique 7 Days Journey Into Silence, Presence, and Meditation.
Step away from noise, distraction, and mental overload and enter a deeply supported field of silence, meditation, yoga, and self-inquiry in the heart of Pachamama Eco Village in Costa Rica. During the retreat, the entire Pachamama community enters silence together, creating a rare atmosphere of collective presence and stillness.
Guided by Tyohar and the Pachamama facilitation team.
The Silent Retreat is a one-week guided immersion into silence held within the natural environment and transformational field of PachaMama. Through silence, meditation, yoga, mindful movement, nature, self-inquiry, and rest, participants step away from the demands of daily life and reconnect more deeply with themselves.
The program includes twice-daily Satsang with Tyohar, featuring a combination of live sessions and selected recordings from previous Satsangs, along with daily yoga and various forms of meditation. Rather than an escape from life, the retreat offers a space to slow down, listen inwardly, and meet your experience with greater clarity and presence.
The retreat concludes with a traditional Sweatlodge by the river. The December Silent Retreat is part of the Transformation Cycle and is open to everyone.
Participants are asked to make a sincere commitment to the retreat process, including maintaining silence throughout the week until the closing circle.
During this retreat, you can expect:
Structured periods of seated meditation and guided silence to help quiet mental noise and deepen awareness.
Immersion in Pachamama’s jungle environment, with opportunities for walking, reflection, and reconnection with the natural world.
Gentle yoga, breathwork, or embodiment practices designed to support nervous system regulation and presence.
A break from devices, social pressure, and constant input, allowing the body and mind to settle naturally.
Space to explore meaningful inner questions, patterns, emotions, and life direction with greater clarity.
Even within silence, participants are supported by the shared presence of the group and the guidance of experienced facilitators.
Participants get their word back in the Sweatlodge down by the river. This ritual concludes the retreat.

The silent retreat for me is such a beautiful way to stop, slow down and connect with the nature around. Pachamama is the most beautiful scenery of forest and wildlife. I find that when i take away all other distractions and turn to silence, I remember again and again how profoundly beautiful the simplicity of life is. The sun rising in the morning, the birds singing, the ants all over the village going on their collective cleaning missions. Simply being a witness to all the beauty around and within. – Nora
For me the Silent Retreat is a true pause and inquiry to life. No distractions, which makes it challenging sometimes. But after a few days I felt the essence of life arising, and I could see my thoughts moving. So much beauty by moving slower, moving with awareness. The meditations during the retreat were really nice to move energy. I loved that there was so much nature to look at, the animals, the jungle. A very special way to end the year and get ready for the new. – Maaike
