    Self-myofascial release is an alternative therapy useful for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood, oxygen, and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.

    Fascia is the connective tissue found throughout the body. It covers the muscles (myofascia), visceral organs, nerves, blood vessels, and even the cells. Many organs are essentially held together, and in place, by fascial tissue.

    Releasing tension held in the fascia can increase mobility and alleviate pain by relaxing muscles, increasing circulation, and encouraging a deep relaxation of mind, body, and spirit.

    In this workshop

    • Gain an understanding of what fascia is
    • Work with massage balls to help release the tension in the fascia
    • Explore Yin yoga to take care of integrating and softening the stretches, bringing the body and mind into Stillness, Peace, and Silence.


    This workshop is open to everybody but especially to those who are willing to let go of physical, mental, and emotional tensions and pain.
