Kanan’s passion and curiosity for the performing arts began in an early age, and this flavor of work has become a fundamental component of his life’s journey. Theatre became a sacred space of personal healing and expression, where Kanan felt safe to explore the darker corners of his being and build an ongoing and continuous path of self-development.
In 2012, Kanan studied Alternative Theatre Techniques at Shlomi Theatre on the Border in Israel, where he met all aspects of this creative process: self-inquiry, character development, observation, behind-the-scenes, writing, and directing.
Kanan integrates a variety tools in his work: inner child, guided meditation, space orientation, breathwork, sound through musical instruments, movement, costumes, and props. These tools are his principal platform to open up space for transformation and growth.
