This workshop is an invitation for all to meet their true voice and the deep joy of singing and expressing through sound. The voice remembers what the individual has forgotten – it reflects patterns and beliefs, and also holds pure medicine; authentic expression, creativity, and a huge reservoir of power and presence. Relaxing into one’s unique sound, into the song beyond judgments and ideas can be a deeply empowering and transformational experience.
This group will explore different aspects of meeting with the voice. Starting with deep listening, playing with sound, and exploring practices to tune breath, voice, and body, one becomes more resonant and open for sound to pass through. Ceremonial elements and moments of sonorous prayer open a deeper connection to an ancient voice lying within. Participants will work together to develop a set of songs, chants, and sound healings that will be shared with the community on the last evening of the workshop.
Beginners and experienced singers are welcome.
