The Aztecs attributed the creation of the cocoa plant to their god Quetzalcoatl who, descended from heaven on a beam of a morning star carrying a cocoa tree stolen from paradise.

They believed that wisdom and power came from eating the fruit of the cocoa tree, and also that it had nourishing, fortifying, and even aphrodisiac qualities.

The smoothies have become many people’s alternative to breakfast. Because of their nourishing richness, they are practically a meal in themselves.

A brief description of some of the potent ingredients used in the Wild Treats.

Cacao
is chocolate. All the antioxidant values, mineral benefits, neurotransmitter rejuvenating properties, and overall health-giving qualities of chocolate are found in raw Cacao Beans.

Bee pollen
is the pollen collected by bees from a variety of wildflowers. It is a rich source of protein and increases the overall well-being by providing a concentration and wide spectrum of nutritional elements.

Maca
is an ancient Peruvian super food, growing in the high Andes. This super food has an outstanding ability to increase energy, endurance and strength. It is known for its positive effect on sexual energy, and supports a good mood in general.

Spirulina
is a blue-green algae. It offers a concentrated source of balanced protein. Eating green super foods like spirulina invigorates health both in body and mind.

Hemp seeds
are considered one of the most nutritional foods on earth. Eating hemp seeds is the best way to get "good fat" into your system.

Goji berries
are perhaps the most nutritional and rich fruit on the planet, and they taste great. Goji Berries are also super rich in vitamin C (and many other vitamins). The amount of vitamin C found in a handful of berries equals to eating 20 oranges.

Acai
is a berry, dried and ground into a beautiful purple powder. It is packed with antioxidants and used in smoothies and deserts, which also brings the purple magic to our recipes.
