Emotional healing work is an essential part of the PachaMama experience. Therapy groups and workshops designed to cleanse and heal the emotional body are scheduled year-round and offered as part of the Transformation Cycle.
The purpose of emotional therapy is to explore the buried wounds and pain of the past, bring unconscious patterns and conditioning to light, and integrate suppressed emotions into the present. The work of emotional healing allows one to live more wholly, with more presence, self-acceptance, and joy; to move beyond passivity and victimhood into responsibility and conscious choice.
Emotional healing paves the way to meditation as it allows one to rest in the acceptance of one’s self. It is not about “self-improvement” but rather about shedding the burden of trauma and limiting conditioning, allowing new ways of engaging with life to be discovered.
This intensive training retreat in Clarity Breathwork™ (formerly Rebirthing) is an opportunity for both accelerated personal transformation and certification in a profound and effective healing art. Participants support themselves and others with daily sessions on land and in water, sacred live music, meditation, inquiry processes, movement, time in nature and immersion in a healing community. The Clarity Breathwork™ process helps to activate the subconscious mind and bring awareness and insights not easily accessed through traditional therapy. The Group combines counseling and insight as well as a somatic experiential process where participants gain a deep level of insight, release emotional baggage and actually feel the patterns shifting and transforming.
The Freedom from the Past group focuses on creating a safe vessel for emotional release by exploring unresolved issues and freeing the emotional body from its stranglehold. Gaining awareness of how one was conditioned and “wired” by past experiences, traumas and upbringing also allow one to move beyond victimhood and passivity, claiming responsibility for one’s life and regaining one’s freedom. The group draws on a number of healing modalities including Primal Feelings therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Breathwork, and more to deeply inquire into the wounds of the past and emerge anew into the present.
The Wisdom of Breath group is an invitation to reconnect with one’s most precious and prosaic resource – the breath. Using simple breathing techniques, its power is revealed by stirring up and bringing into the light of awareness unconscious emotions and patterns of mind. The Workshop weaves together gentle, deep breathing sessions, active meditations and Native spiritual practices, creating a safe inner space to explore the physical, emotional, and mental body.
In this workshop, participants explore how they relate to their own death and therefore to life by setting up a fictitious very close ‘deadline’. The urgency of the ‘five days left to live’ will be used to dive into the preciousness of each moment, to connect to what is essential to each and to allow the simplicity of true expression to come through. The format gives a chance to bring the theme of each meeting into the day, giving space to play, try, explore and integrate one’s practice into daily life. Conversation, exercises, meditation, sharing, drawing, journaling and visualization are implemented to use the end of our life as a way to illuminate the present.
Growing in Love is a gentle and unique three-day workshop designed to shake the dust off of the heart and give a taste of the Path of Love. This Emotional Healing workshop is about discovering ways to be more authentic and honest, connecting with oneself and others in ways that create trust and joy. This work is about awakening the longing to be loved, seen and heard. Working with honest, loving self-exposure supports the connection with true strength and value through unique exercises and meditations.
The Magic of Tantra group provides a safe and respectful space to bring awareness and understanding to one’s unconscious beliefs, conditionings, patterns and ways of relating. Specific structures and meditation techniques are explored with the intention of enhancing sensitivity, deepening physical and emotional awareness and cultivating trust. Communication tools that support honesty, respect, authenticity and care are shared and practiced, setting the foundation for a meaningful connection.
