Transformation Cycle

A profound journey of self-exploration

The Transformation Cycle takes participants on a five-week pilgrimage to their very core. It is a profound journey of self-exploration; rejuvenating the body, clearing the mind, and opening the heart to self-acceptance.

Held at the beginning of the season, the powerful process of the Transformation Cycle is designed to cleanse and revitalize the physical, emotional, and mental body, shedding old layers and making way for the present moment to be experienced in its wholeness.

Through Physical Detoxification, Yoga, and Emotional Healing, an inner climate is created, allowing the seed of meditation to sprout. The process culminates in a seven-day Silent Retreat and ends with a Sweatlodge.

Who This Experience Is For

The Transformation Cycle is for people who feel ready to step out of their everyday routine and fully immerse themselves in a process of inner exploration, healing, and conscious living.

You may feel at home here if you:

  • Are seeking clarity during a life transition.
  • Feel emotionally or spiritually stuck.
  • Want to deepen your meditation practice.
  • Are ready to examine old patterns with honesty and openness.
  • Feel called to experience community living, silence, movement, ceremony, and personal transformation as one integrated journey.
  • Are willing to participate fully rather than simply observe.

You do not need previous experience with meditation, yoga, or personal development. Curiosity, openness, and a sincere willingness to participate are far more important.

This Experience May NOT Be for

The Transformation Cycle is intentionally immersive and can be emotionally, physically, and mentally challenging.

It may not be suitable if you:

  • Are looking primarily for a relaxing wellness vacation.
  • Need constant internet access or wish to continue working remotely during the program.
  • Prefer a completely self-directed retreat where you can come and go freely.
  • Are unwilling to participate in community life or the daily schedule.
  • Are currently experiencing severe psychiatric instability or an acute mental health crisis.
  • Have medical conditions that prevent participation in fasting, detoxification, intensive movement, or other physical activities without medical clearance.

Every participant's journey is unique, but many people leave the Transformation Cycle with:

  • Greater emotional clarity and resilience.
  • Practical meditation tools that continue long after the retreat.
  • A renewed relationship with their body through movement, yoga, and healthy living.
  • More awareness of unconscious habits and limiting beliefs.
  • Deep rest for the nervous system after stepping away from daily stimulation.
  • A genuine sense of belonging through authentic community.
  • Renewed inspiration, purpose, and direction.

Rather than offering quick fixes, the Transformation Cycle creates the conditions for lasting inner transformation through consistent practice, presence, and lived experience.

Still have questions?

Every transformation journey begins with curiosity. If you’d like to know more about the Transformation Cycle or whether it’s the right fit for you, we’re here to help.

Why Experience the Transformation Cycle at PachaMama?

Many retreats offer individual workshops.

The Transformation Cycle is different because every element supports the next.

Silence deepens emotional healing. Emotional healing prepares the body for renewal. Community creates safety. Nature slows the nervous system. Music opens the heart. Daily meditation becomes a lived experience rather than a technique.

For more than 25 years, PachaMama has cultivated an intentional community dedicated to conscious living. Rather than visiting a retreat center that only operates during events, you’ll become part of a living village where meditation, ecological living, creativity, and connection are practiced every day.

This integrated environment allows transformation to unfold naturally—not through a single breakthrough, but through weeks of consistent practice and genuine human connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need meditation or yoga experience?

Not at all. Many participants arrive with no previous experience. Everything is guided, and you are encouraged to meet yourself exactly where you are.

Is the Transformation Cycle intense?

It can be. While there is plenty of joy, music, nature, and connection, this is not a holiday. The program is immersive and designed to support genuine personal transformation, which can be emotionally and physically challenging at times.

Can I leave before the program finishes?

Because each part of the cycle builds upon the previous one and contributes to the shared group process, we strongly recommend committing to the full program. Leaving early may interrupt both your own experience and the group container.

There is the option to participate in the workshops outside of the transformation cycle.

I have dietary restrictions. Can you accommodate them?

In most cases, yes. Vegetarian meals are provided, and many common dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice. Please contact us before booking if you have allergies or medical dietary requirements.

I have a medical condition. Should I still attend?

Possibly—but we ask that you contact us first. Some parts of the program involve detoxification, physical activity, and emotionally intensive practices that may not be appropriate for everyone. We’ll help determine whether this experience is a good fit.

Is it okay to come alone?

Absolutely. Most participants arrive on their own. The shared experience and supportive community make it easy to connect naturally with others while still allowing plenty of personal space.

What does a typical day look like?

While each week has its own rhythm, most days include meditation, yoga or movement, healthy meals, workshops or group sessions, time in nature, community activities, and opportunities for rest and reflection.

How physically demanding is the program?

The Transformation Cycle includes yoga, meditation, walking, movement practices, and time outdoors. You don’t need to be highly fit, but you should be comfortable participating in gentle to moderate physical activity each day. You’re always encouraged to honor your own body’s limits.

What if I become emotional during the retreat?

This is completely normal. Many participants experience a wide range of emotions as they slow down and look inward. You’ll be supported by experienced facilitators, and there is always space to move at your own pace.

Will I have free time?

Yes. While the schedule is full, there are breaks throughout the day to rest, journal, swim, explore nature, or simply enjoy being present. Balance between structured sessions and personal integration is an important part of the experience.

Can I use my phone or laptop?

The Transformation Cycle is designed as a digital detox as much as an inner one. We encourage participants to disconnect from work, social media, and unnecessary screen time so they can be fully present in the process.

Can I work remotely during the program?

No. We strongly recommend taking this time completely away from work. The daily schedule, emotional process, and community activities require your full attention, and trying to balance work with the retreat often limits the depth of the experience.

Is there an age limit?

Participants come from many different backgrounds and stages of life. Most are adults between their late 20s and 60s, but what matters most is your openness and readiness for the experience rather than your age.

Will I have my own room?

Accommodation options vary, from shared spaces to private rooms depending on availability and your booking choice. All options are designed to support a simple, peaceful, nature-connected experience.

See the accommodation options here.

What kind of food is served?

You’ll enjoy fresh, nourishing vegetarian meals prepared with care.

The menu supports the retreat process and emphasizes whole, healthy ingredients.

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothing, a reusable water bottle, a journal, swimwear, walking shoes or sandals, natural toiletries, and anything that helps you feel comfortable in nature. A detailed packing list will be sent after your booking is confirmed.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is available in designated areas of PachaMama. However, we encourage participants to use it only when necessary so they can fully immerse themselves in the experience.

What happens after the Transformation Cycle ends?

The real integration begins when you return home. Many participants leave with practical meditation tools, healthier habits, and a deeper connection to themselves. You’re also invited to stay connected with the PachaMama community or extend your stay and integrate the experience in the community.
