acha Mama is an oasis of
an alternative lifestyle. It’s a place
to dive into a transformative spiritual
voyage, rejuvenate the body,
connect with nature and celebrate
life. The village is located on the
Pacific coast of Costa Rica in a
forested valley. PachaMama was
founded 8 years ago by Tyohar and
fellow travelers who responded to
the invitation to manifest together
a commune that
embraces a new way of life.
Ever since it was founded, the oasis
became a gathering place for
people from all over the world,
creating a colorful and unique
energy field.
Some info about the village:
The
land size is 500 acre,(2,300,000
m²). 8 years ago this land was
used as a cattle farm, without electricity, water
system, roads
or any living space. Year by year,
tens of thousands of trees were
planted and facilities were built in a
graceful and ecological standard,
as PachaMama was developing
and evolving, both practically and
spiritually.
Today it is the permanent home
of 100 residents who built their
homes on the hills of the village.
We plan to allow the village
to grow with 25 more homes.
The capacity for visitors, not
including camping, is about to reach
200, all together allowing about
300 people to enjoy the experience
of PachaMama. We have no
intention to expand the capacity
beyond that, as the intimate
atmosphere of the village is precious.
The Pacha Mama experience is a
profound journey into the depth
of one's being. It is designed to
challenge and to embrace. It dares
one to experience the depth of life
in its totality, be it laughter or tears,
the liveliness of togetherness or
the silence of aloneness.
It is a Temple of Transformation.
The essence ofPachaMama is the
space of meditation. If
you take meditation out
of PachaMama life, if
you take the presence
of the silence out of
PachaMama life, you
can have exactly the
same events and it
won't be the same.
It is that quality of
silence, of meditation
that gives the extra
ingredient that turns the
different happenings
here into magic. It is a
quality that is coming
from within us. This is
how we fertilize any
situation, by keeping
the freshness of our
being, by taking an
inner shower, and then
whatever is happening
is meeting a fresh
presence
